Invite your team and set roles
Give colleagues and contractors their own access instead of sharing one password.
Shared logins make it impossible to know who changed what, and they survive people leaving. Invite each person instead; access is removed in one click when they move on.
Roles
| Role | Can do | Cannot do |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including billing and closing the account | — |
| Administrator | Manage sites, domains, email, backups and tickets | Change ownership or payment methods |
| Developer | Sites they are assigned to: deployments, staging, cache, logs, SFTP | See invoices or manage the team |
| Billing | Invoices, payment methods, plan changes | Touch sites or mailboxes |
| Viewer | Read-only access to sites and their status | Change anything |
Invite someone
- Open Team and choose Invite
Enter the person's work address. Personal addresses are allowed but harder to audit later.
- Pick the role
Start with the least access that lets them do the job. You can widen it at any time.
- Limit the sites, if needed
Developer and Viewer can be restricted to specific sites, which is the usual arrangement for contractors.
- Send the invitation
The link is valid for seven days. Until it is accepted the invitation can be revoked with no trace left behind.
Owners can require two-factor for everyone on the account. Members who have not enrolled are prompted at their next sign-in.
